Michael’s 4 core rules governing his life are.
- You are not God. Making yourself the center of the universe, unaccountable to something higher than yourself, is risky. In this world, who you choose as your God may not matter so much. In the eternal it may matter a great deal more. Choose your God wisely.
- Carry your own water. This is more than just doing your share. Take responsibility for your life. Do not burden others unnecessarily for the provisions of your existence. Be a good steward of your resources. Share with others when you can. God owns the cup and the water. Your job is to carry and care for what God has given to you.
- Take your hits. Don’t run away from your problems or seek to avoid the consequences for your actions. Be as ready for success as for disappointment. Be proud of what you achieve. Repent when causing harm. Do not take responsibly for the actions of others. This lessens them and inflates your ego.
- Kill The Bear. In life there are challenges and dangers. They are meant to be overcome and defeated. This is not a safe world and sometimes it is wise to run from dangers. But there will come a time, when the only way to move forward, is to turn and face what is chasing you. There are times to run. There are times to fight. Sometimes you must kill the bear.
