Samantha Smith, M.A., LMHC

I wanted to become a counselor due to my experiences as a teenager, when I truly needed one in my time of need. I had mentors to help guide me along, but never had therapy. My goal was to be the person whom I needed when I was young and do my best to prevent people from experiencing what I went through. It helps that my given name means “good listener.”  

I also have a background in military culture. My father was in the Air Force for over 20 years and we traveled abroad, spending most of our time in Japan, where I got to have the opportunity to experience the Japanese culture. Because of my background, I am more open to different cultures and beliefs.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Music from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington. Graduated in 2011. 

 Masters of Science (M.A.) degree in Professional Counseling 60 hour track: Online Graduated in 2015.
